It didn't take long for the new season to return some numbers for our friends down under. The wingless sprints at Archerfield Speedway in Brisbane posted a 1-2 finish for Eagle Motorsports. Mitch Gowland came home first and Rob Mazer finished second. The Southern US also saw an Eagle Motorsports car top the field in the 8th Annual Showdown at Kennedale Speedway Park. Claud Estes claimed night one of the two day event in his 74E.

Mike Stien ended the year with five feature wins, the point title at Arlington Raceway, Minnesota State Sprint Car points title, and the Racesaver Sprint Series Regional title.
